This policy explains what we collect when you request a free quote on augustapos.com, why we collect it, and how we use it. We wrote it in plain English on purpose.

What the quote form collects
- Required: name, phone number, and email address.
- Optional business details: whether you are a new or existing business, business name, business type, a short description of your business, current processor or equipment, and whether you pass or absorb card fees.
- Optional uploads: recent merchant processing statements (PDF or photos) if you choose to attach them.
Why we collect it
We use this information only to prepare a rate review or custom proposal and to follow up with you about your quote request (by phone or email). Statement uploads help us base a proposal on what you actually pay — we will not promise to beat a number we have not seen.
How we use it
Quote-form data is used solely for preparing and delivering your rate review or proposal and related follow-up. We do not sell your personal information or statement files.
Who we share it with
We share only what is needed to prepare your quote with the processing and POS partners involved in putting that proposal together. Those partners are named generically here (processing providers and related support channels) — we do not publish brand names on this site. We do not share your information for unrelated marketing.
Retention and deletion
We keep quote requests and any uploaded statements only as long as needed to prepare your proposal and handle related follow-up, or as required by law. To request deletion of your quote submission or uploaded statements, email mike@augustapos.com and we will remove what we reasonably can from our active records.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information you submit (including HTTPS on this site). No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; please avoid sending passwords or full bank account numbers through the quote form.
